Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LockNotes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

Description of Service

LockNotes provides a platform for creating self-destructing, end-to-end encrypted notes. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LockNotes for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates the rights of others. Specifically, you must not use LockNotes to:

  • Transmit illegal, abusive, or highly toxic content.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Facilitate or coordinate violent acts or terrorism.

While we cannot read the contents of your messages, we utilize client-side AI models to block malicious content. Furthermore, recipients can report abusive messages upon reading them. If a message you sent is reported for abuse, your IP address will be permanently banned from accessing LockNotes.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LockNotes or Webrizen be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from the use or the inability to use the service.

Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
